Alex and Ashley are such dear friends of ours. When they asked if I would be their wedding photographer, I said no. My husband (aka my second shooter) was going to be a groomsman, and it fell the weekend before my first wedding ever. That meant it would be my first wedding ever, and I’d be solo. That did not sound fun. Sweet Ashley asked again, and I caved. Luckily for me, I work with a wonderful girl whose husband second shoots weddings all the time. So they agreed, and the wedding day came! It should be noted that Mark Thomas is an excellent second shooter (also that Annie was an amazing assistant). I counted, and I think around 13-16 of the photos that made it into the blog post are his, and they’re some of my most favorites. Wedding photographers out there, you want to hire him.
Alex and Ashley’s wedding day was perfectly overcast, not too cold outside. Kind of perfect. It would be a giant understatement to say that Ashley was a gorgeous bride. I mean, see for yourself. It was such a sweet wedding. Our good friend Sean married them, it was his first wedding, and he did an incredible job. I will have a list of vendors at the bottom of the post if you see anything in here you’re curious about. Their colors were a dream, and if I could go back in time, I’d want her dress for my wedding, it was absolutely perfect. Her hair looked like Elizabeth Bennet’s from Pride and Prejudice, and if that’s not perfection, I don’t know what is. Here are (some) of my favorites from their beautiful wedding day, enjoy!
